Hey guys

Im sure most of you have heard some of the controversy going on over "same sex mariage". About Chick Fila and what happened to them and maybe some have heard about REI's statement just a couple days ago. There truly is a cultural war that is going on today.I have been very proud for the most part about how we have reacted to these blows to our fundamental beliefs.I am going to really dive in to what the Bible has to say about homosexuality and let the word speek to you instead of me. Romans 1 verse 26 says ²⁶ Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. ²⁷ In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.paul tells us about the wrath that God has for many evil things that where happening. such as sexual immorality and idol worship. verse 26.Paul treats it like it is worse than all the other terrible things going on. this by itself may not completely condemn Homosexuality but leviticus  18:22 says'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.I dont know about you but you cant really twist that. the original king james says it like this Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.It still says the same thing and there is really no twisting this. Although the bible only gives bits and pieces like this that tell us what God wants what many also forget is that  Jesus encourages traditional mariage.Mark 10:6-9 says6“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’^a7‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,^b 8and the two will become one flesh.’^c So they are no longer two, but one.9Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”  Well its is very obvious throughout the Bible that God promotes the mariage of a man and a woman and if he really feels that homosexuality is just as acceptable he would have glorified it as well. But from the very beginning God put one man and one woman on the earth.You notice that men usually have a certain personality and skill set that women dont and women can do things that men cannot do.That is why God created mariage because the two together are far more powerful than they could ever be alone.each covers the others weakness and working together are an unstoppable force. so you see it should be obvious that a man and a man or a woman and a woman can never be as close or as strong as a man and a woman. its like trying to fit two puzzle pieces together where they dont belong. even if they did fit together they would not make the picture the builder intended it would look horrible and very confusing but if you put every piece where it was intended to go it creates a beautiful picture. so you might be thinking ok well i think i get it Timothy but then why do so many people have such strong desires for the same sex rather than the oposite sex?Does God make people to be bad?Absolutely not!!! every person is born sinless and innocent. It is the devil and the horrors of this world that  cause people to become twisted  and deformed. If you examine the life of any homosexual you will see abuse, pain and suffering.what happens to many children when they are young is that they are branded from a young age as being a certain way by their piers or their family, many times because of one isolated  instance. like a young boy who sees his mother put on makeup and he wants to try it. or a girl who wants to go camping  or play agressive sports. THIS IN NO WAY MEANS THAT GOD MADE A MISTAKE!!!!!more often than not its the ignorance of the parents that eventually plants these thoughts into a child. these people are very confused and need help more than anything.It saddens me that so many are branded like this by other people who just want to be have power over them by making hateful comments.

God makes everyone in his image and he created mariage to help us on the journey of life. God gives us commandments to help us, not to burden us. He would never create a person to do evil.I hope you reflect and take to heart the things i have said an reevaluate your own position.

Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. wait a minute! a gate is not a weapon, its only purpose is for defense. so does that mean we are supposed to attack? i most certainly believe so. if you look at the life of Jesus closely you will not see that he was a tolerant man. tolerance is not a virtue, Jesus did not go around yelling YOUR GOING TO HELL UNLESS YOU REPENT!!! but he did not tell them oh that's OK just love people and lets all sing cumbaya and it wont mater.he did not tolerate sin ever! he gave them a choice.Mark 10:21 says Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”²² But at these words ^[a]he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.Jesus did not make it easy or him. Jesus loved him and because he loved him he had to tell him what he was doing wrong. since he could not do what Jesus asked him he did not get to follow him. i hope that this blog as many other things i will do will help people by giving them the truth, not a happy sunshine version  of the gospel but the truth. if you truly love the ones around you you will not let them continue in their meaningless lives of sin but show them the wonderful truth of the gospel
